Thank you for visiting.  Beacon Birth provides pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support to mothers and families in New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut and the Hudson Valley Region.

It is our hope to nurture your journey during this formative and transformative time.  We are trained birth doulas through DONA International and CAPPA and serve a variety of families with a range of needs including those planning a natural or medicated birth, VBAC (vaginal birth after Cesarean) or Cesarean birth.  We work with families in a range of birth settings, including home, hospitals and birth centers.

In addition to doula work, we provide the following services:

Lamaze Childbirth Education: Group and private classes available.  6 week series or weekend intensive options.

Comfort Zone:  Group and private classes available.  This comfort measures class for labor and birth is a great resource for couples needing extra practice or wanting to learn how to manage labor and birth more comfortably, whether or not they have attended any childbirth classes.  First time parents, those needing a refresher or those wanting to expand their knowledge of comfort measures are welcome.

Prenatal Yoga: Group and private classes available. 

Yoga Birth Method Childbirth Classes for Couples:  Group and private sessions available.  This is a hands on class to learn what to expect in labor.  Couples practice yoga techniques and comfort measures to manage pain naturally.  You will be confident in making the right decisions in labor for a calm and enlightened birth.
